OLD TOWN – Cecile (Daigle) Jamieson, 80, wife of Eugene J. Jamieson Sr., died Oct. 23, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1926, in Upper Frenchville, daughter of Philias and Marie (Gagnon) Daigle. Cecile enjoyed socializing and will be remembered for making her daily rounds through Old Town to stop and say “Hello” to many friends. She was a member of VFW Post 3381 Ladies Auxiliary of Old Town. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Eugene Jamieson Sr.; three children, Stephen Jamieson and his wife, Valerie, of Old Town, Gene Jamieson Jr. of Old Town, Ann Brown and her husband, Delmar, of Greenbush; a special granddaughter, Angela Jamieson of Old Town; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers, Gerald, Edward, Anthony and Louis; and three sisters, Helen, Germaine and Lillian. The family expresses a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the critical care unit of St. Joseph Hospital and C Unit at the Maine Veterans’ Home. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at Holy Family Parish with the Rev. Rudolph Leveille, celebrant. Immediately after the service, all are invited to the Holy Family Parish Center for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Maine Veterans’ Home, 44 Hogan Road, Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements by Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
