NEWBURYPORT, Mass. Cedric G. Porter, 94, formerly of Topsham and Caribou, died Dec. 29, 2007, at home. He was born Aug. 1, 1913, in Hodgdon, the son of Guy C. and Minnie J. Mooers Porter. He attended Houlton public schools and was a graduate of Colby College, Class of 1935. Husband of the late Marion A. Cliff, the couple married April 17, 1938, in Mars Hill. Mr. Porter worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Maine Department of Agriculture for 42 years. He was a member of Grey Memorial Methodist Church, Caribou, past chair of Caribou Library Board, and past master of Caribou Masonic Lodge No. 170 AF & AM. He is survived by a daughter, Faith C.P. Prior of Sun City West, Ariz.; a son, Daniel C. Porter of Boxford, Mass.; a granddaughter, Nicole Ashiru; and a grandson, Christopher Porter. Private services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick.
