POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Charles Edward Clark Jr., 57, died unexpectedly March 13, 2006, at his home in Pompano Beach, Fla., where he had lived for many years. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles E. Clark Sr. and Sylvia Clark Kelley; and his nephew, Dakota Marcum. He is survived by his loving siblings, Ric Clark of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Susan Henderson of Sarasota Fla., Sally Marcum of Louisville, Ky.; his nephews, Forest Marcum, Derric Clark, Tristan Charles Clark, Joshua Barrows and Jacob Holmes; as well as cousins; his dear “Uncle Reg”; and many friends. Charlie, originally from Hampden, attended Hampden Academy and graduated from Maine Central Institute and Murray State University in Kentucky. He earned honors there as a top marksman on their four-man pistol team. He was well known for his love of knowledge and wonderful dry wit. He was our “keeper of the memories,” the guy with the answers, our brother, our friend. There will be a memorial service to celebrate his life 4 p.m. March 26, at the Holiday Inn Highland Beach, Windrift Room, Highland Beach, Fla.
