HOLDEN – Charles “Sunny” Giggey, 65, passed away peacefully, Dec. 10, 2003, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 7, 1938, in Bangor, the son of Charles H. and Ethel (Robbins) Giggey. Charlie worked for Webber Energy for many years and was presently working for Central Maine Auto Auction. He enjoyed being outside and especially loved being on the island at Brewer Lake. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was also a member of the BPOE Lodge 244 of Bangor. Charlie will be remembered and sadly missed by his sister, Joannie Goodwin and her husband, Steve of Levant, his children, Charles Giggey Jr. and his wife, Kim of Brewer, Christopher Giggey of Holden, William Giggey of Bangor, and Melissa Giggey of Bangor, along with his four grandchildren, Brandon, Nathanial, Nicholas and Kassidy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Suzanne K. Giggey. He will also be missed by many other friends and relatives. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at the Community Church of Christ, 128 Pierce Rd., Brewer, where a memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday with the Evangelist Almon Emerson, officiating.
