MEDWAY – Charles L. Mushero, 47, died April 18, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 16, 1958, in Bangor, the son of Kenneth and Flora Spencer Mushero. Today, April 18, 2006, at 4:22 p.m. the world, family, and friends lost a guy with a heart of gold to the addiction of street drugs, after a yearlong battle. He did, however, before he went to heaven, get clean of drugs and made amends with friends and family the best way he knew how. He just couldn’t forgive himself as we all forgave him. Through a program called St. Mary’s, he earned a coin not easily earned. He carried it proudly in his pocket. It reads, “Today well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.” He will be missed by his four children, Leslie A. Mushero of Bangor, Joshua S. Mushero and Ashlee Brown of Perham, Noah J. Mushero and Danielle Michaud of West Enfield, and Marena J. Mushero of Perham; two very special granddaughters, Cora and Ivy; his soul-mate, Linda Crocker of Medway and her daughters, Addie Crocker of West Enfield and Missy Crocker of Florida; brothers, Harold and Flo Mushero of North Carolina and Leo and Laura Mushero of West Enfield; sisters, Arlene and Harvey Holmes of Old Town, Shirley and Arthur Witherbee of Massachusetts, Pauline and Arthur Tasker, and Lillian Cyr, all of Howland; many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Mushero Jr. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Terry Dinkins officiating. Interment will be in Emerson-Mushero Cemetery, Howland. There will be a gathering at the West Enfield Church of God after the committal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the family, care of Julie Washburn, Howland, ME 04448.
