GREENVILLE – Charles L. Rowe, 95, died Dec. 30, 2007, at his East Road residence. He was born July 5, 1912, in Greenville, a son of Oliver and Annie (Curtis) Rowe. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Charlie worked as a truck driver for many years and later at Atlas Plywood, Greenville. He retired from Great Northern Paper Co., as a caretaker and gatekeeper for company properties. Charlie enjoyed his grandchildren and liked to play checkers with his family and friends. He is survived by two daughters, Joan Rowe of Greenville and Linda Ford of Terrebonne, Ore.; two sons, Keith Rowe of Brewer and Roger Rowe of Carlisle, Pa.; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene (Page) Rowe; two sisters, Dora Rowe and Bertha Wintle; a brother, Lawrence Rowe; and a great-grandson, Aaron James Barriault. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Crosby & Neal Green-ville Chapel, located in the Masonic building. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at the funeral chapel. Spring interment will be at Greenville Cemetery. After the funeral service a time of reflection and refreshments will be held at his home.
