OTTER CREEK – Charles N. Walls, 84, died July 31, 2004, at an MDI hospital. He was born April 4, 1920, in Otter Creek, the son of Samuel M. and Emma M. (Albee) Walls. Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a military policeman. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal and the American Theater Campaign Ribbon. He enjoyed going to yard sales, tending his garden and taking care of his family. Charles is survived by a brother and two sisters, Everett Walls and Elsie A. Walls, both of Otter Creek, and Anita M. Merchant of Orrington; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Austin Walls Sr. and Samuel L. Walls; two sisters, Melinda Saccone and Otilda Frances Dodge. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at the Otter Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. William M. Bigelow Jr. officiating.
