SORRENTO – Charles R. “Bob” O’Connor, 77, died Aug. 10, 2006, at his residence in Sorrento. He was born June 27, 1929, in Hartford, Conn., the son of Charles L. and Beatrice O’Connor. He was a lifetime owner of the Country Store in Sullivan. He enjoyed his deck overlooking Treasure Island with his canine pal, “Muffin.” He was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ellsworth and lifetime member of the Ellsworth Lions Club. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 34 happy years, Natalie; stepsons, Lloyd and wife, Barbara Hodgkins, of Ellsworth, Jeff Hodgkins and friend, Linda Torrey, of Trenton; sisters, Pat Therkelsen and husband, Al, of Arizona; Fran Patrissi and husband, Dan, of Florida; grandchildren, Dana, Philip, Katie, Jenn, Brian, Amber and Allyssa; sisters-in-law, Shirley Broughan, Althea Cousins and Jean Pierce; many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many special friends. Services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth.
