ORONO – Nancy L. Clark, 78, died Aug. 11, 2006, after a long illness. She was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of Philip M. and Alice (King) Larson. She graduated from Classical High School in Springfield, Mass. and obtained a master’s degree in library science from the University of Maine. Nancy was a volunteer with the Maine Democratic Party. She enjoyed preparing gourmet meals and sharing them with family and friends. Nancy also enjoyed embroidery and other types of needlework. She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed Shakespeare. Nancy enjoyed the opera as well. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles N. Clark; and two brothers, the Rev. Dr. Philip Larson and Trott Larson. She is survived by three children, Alissa and her husband, Gordon Dunsmore, of Ucluelet, British Columbia, Eliane Feichtinger and her husband, Oskar Feichtinger III, of Orono, Charles L. Clark of Vinalhaven; two grandchildren, Christine and Jonathan VanZiffle of Ucluelet, British Columbia. Services will be announced at a later date.
