BANGOR and JONESPORT Linwood Wendall Caler, 48, passed away Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1958, the son of Mary (Urquhart) and Otis E. Caler. He served in the U.S. Army, military police division and later returned home to Maine and worked as a fisherman. An avid sports fan, Linwood loved to watch sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Celtics. He is survived by two sons, U.S. Marine Sgt. Christopher R. Caler of Cherry Point, N.C., U.S. Navy ship recruit Vance E. Caler of Great Lakes, Ill.; a daughter, Kristin Lin Caler of Cary, N.C.; a sister, Bertha Hennessey of Machias; a special nephew, Christopher Ireland of Bangor; beloved girlfriend, Rita J. Langille and their special cats, Queenie B. and Jazzy, of Bangor; many cousins and special friends. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal. Linwood will be sadly missed. A committal service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at the Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport.
