EXETER, N.H. – Charlotte C. Philpott, 88, of Main Street, died unexpectedly April 7, 2007, at her home. She was born, July 8, 1918, and raised in Patten, the daughter of the late Glen and Marion (Black) Craig. A graduate and valedictorian of Patten Academy, she formerly resided in Readfield and Augusta. She greatly enjoyed many outdoor activities including snowmobiling on Shin Pond, where she owned a camp and spent the last 10 summers. She is survived by one son, Arad and his wife, Judith Philpott, of Epping, N.H.; three grandchildren, Brian Philpott of Salem, N.H., Karen Mccoy of Brentwood, N.H., and Jennifer Busch of Brentwood, N.H.; three great-grandchildren, Sean, Kathryn and Maxen; and many nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
