BREWER – Charlotte E. Kreigh, 80, wife of the late Charles F. Kreigh, died Sept. 25, 2006, at her home. She was born Nov. 17, 1925, in Brewer, the daughter of Walter S. and Bessie R. (Connolly) Doane. Charlotte was a 1943 graduate of Brewer High School and a 1946 graduate of St. Joseph College, where she studied nursing and completed training at Mercy Hospital. She worked as a nurse for 40 years, retiring from St. Joseph Hospital in 1986. Charlotte was a communicant of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Brewer, a member of the Ave Maria Circle, Daughters of Isabella, St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary and the Current Events Club. Surviving are one daughter, Elizabeth Kreigh and her husband, Bill McNeal, of Lisbon Falls; one granddaughter, Ashwini McNeal of Lisbon Falls; one sister, Kathleen Choate of Lamoine; one nephew, Stephen Ward of Edgecomb; one great-niece, Kelly Ward of Newcastle; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Friends may visit 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, were the Rosary will be recited 5:30 p.m. by the Daughters of Isabella. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Brewer, with the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be held noon Monday, Oct. 2, at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
