VEAZIE – Christie Trask Prince, 87, wife of the late George W. Prince, died peacefully June 15, 2007, at Dirigo Pines, Orono. She was born July 6, 1919, in Winter Harbor, daughter of Henry and Louise Coombs Trask. She was predeceased by her father in 1929 and adopted by her stepfather, Ray Newman. In addition to her husband, George, she was also predeceased by a son, Theodore Prince in 1993; and by her mother and stepfather. Christie graduated from Winter Harbor High School in 1936 and Wilfred Academy, Boston, Class of 1938. Christie was a past presi-dent of Orono/Old Town Omega Club; former treasurer and secretary of the Lionettes, Bangor; and secretary of Penobscot Valley Country Club Women’s Golf Association. She wrote many poems and skits for Penobscot Valley Country Club Women’s groups and Veazie Senior Citizens Group. Christie was a member of the Church of Universal Fellowship, Orono and former member of the Fellowship Circle and the Veazie Senior Citizens. Surviving are a son, Brian G. Prince and his wife, Lynn, of Veazie; eight grandchildren, Melanie Walden, Kelly Ann Prince, Tegan, Bevin and Brogan Prince, Eric Prince, Christine Prince and David Prince; six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tristan, Casey, Spencer, Abigail and Taylor. Christie, a can-cer survivor, whose motto was to make at least one person smile each day. She will be fondly remembered for her love of music, as she sang and danced her way into all of our hearts. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Lorna Stuart, minister of the Church of Universal Fellowship, Orono, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the memorial service Tuesday.
