CHRISTINE J. RIVERS WINTER HARBOR – Christine (Johnson) Rivers, 61, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 23, 2004. She was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Westbrook, the daughter of Theodore and Evelyn (Arey) Johnson. She attended Winter Harbor Grammar School, Windham High School and the University of Maine. Chrissy was a home healthcare provider for many years. She enjoyed gardening, picnics with her family and playing bingo with her friends. She also loved animals. Chrissy had a big heart and opened her home to many children who needed a place to stay. Chrissy is survived by her father, Theodore Johnson of Winter Harbor; seven children, Raymond Timmons and his wife, Vicki, of Winter Harbor, Richard Timmons and his companion, Mandy Parker, of Winter Harbor, Theresa Swartz and her husband, Tom, of Cape Cod, Mass., Archie Rivers III and his wife, Donna, of Winter Harbor, Tammi Stevenson and her husband, Scott, of Magnolia, Del., Michelle Presnell and her husband, PJ, of Gouldsboro, Kit Rivers of Gouldsboro; brothers, Kit Johnson and his wife, Bunny, of Winter Harbor, Ted Johnson Jr. of Winter Harbor, Fred Johnson and his wife, Fran, of Sullivan, Dennis Johnson and his wife, Cindy, of Sullivan; a sister, Denise Huntington and her husband, Herb, of Steuben; Archie E. Rivers of Old Town, her former husband and father of her children. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Sarah and Rachel Timmons, Kristy Tracey, Lori and Josh Timmons, Amanda, Jim and Jeramie White, Addison, Nicholas and Benjamin Rivers, Justin Faulkingham, Erica, Jacob, Jasey and Katrina Stevenson, Timothy and Ashley Rivers, Brailee Joy, Jordan and Hunter Rivers; and a great-grandson, Adam Tracey. She also leaves behind many friends and relatives including a special friend, Nell Byers. Chrissy was predeceased by her mother, Evelyn Johnson; sisters, Mary Jacobs and Sherry Davies; an infant son, Joseph; and an infant great-grandson, Seth Tracey. Funeral services will be held on 1 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004, at the Winter Harbor Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Winter Harbor.
