MILLINOCKET- Clair G. “Buddy” Patchell Jr., went to be with his Lord, Sept. 17, 2007, surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born April 12, 1950, in Lincoln, son of Clair and Marion (Roach) Patchell. He was educated in Millinocket. He graduated from Stearns High School in 1969 and retired from Bowater Paper Co. in 1998. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Norma Jean (Caswell) Patchell. She was also his caregiver during his long illness. Surviving children are David Cyr of Millinocket, Lester Cyr and wife, Angel, of Millinocket, Sandra Stelzer of Wisconsin, Nichol Cyr of Glenburn; grandchildren are Amanda Austin and partner, Jen, Anthony Cyr and fianc?e, Nikki, Aaron Cyr, Elisha (Cyr) Davis and her husband, Wade, Alex Mingo, Sammy Mingo and Jamie Lee, Shawn and James Cyr, Ashley and Hunter Archie; two great-grandsons, Dylan and Tyler Cyr and another great-grandson, Davis, due in January; sisters, Sue (Patchell) Coburn of Brownville Junction, and her sons, Chuck Coburn of Bath and Jay Coburn of Biddeford, Betty (Patchell) Perry and husband, Bill, of Brownville Junction, and their daughters, Wendy and her husband, James, and their son, Michael, of Canaan, Darci Jones and her husband, Rusty, of Boothbay Harbor; his sisters-in-law and husbands, Judy and Bert Moody, Audrey and Ronnie Hartley, Betty-Lou Hawkes, Donna Pelkey and friend, Gig, all of Millinocket, and Linda Deveau of Massachusetts; along with many nieces and nephews; aunts, Jean and her husband, Earl, of Connecticut and Anna Patchell of Connecticut; and a special cousin, Marjory and her husband, Dennis, of Connecticut. He was predeceased by his mother, Marion (Roach) Patchell; his first wife, Rhonda; brother-in-law, Jerry Coburn, and daughter-in-law, Peggy Cyr. Committal services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at Millinocket Cemetery with Pastor Keith Moody officiating. A luncheon gathering will be after the service at 104 Wassau St., Millinocket.
