FORT KENT – Edgar Pelletier, 69, died peacefully Sept. 17, 2007, at his residence. He was born April 20, 1938, in Fort Kent, the son of Wilfred Sr. and Melina (Hebert) Pelletier. Edgar was a past member of the Knights of Columbus of Fort Kent. Woodworking was one of Edgar’s favorite pastimes along with feeding his fish in his pond. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pauline (Pinette) Pelletier of Fort Kent; six sons, Steven Pelletier and his wife, Elaine, Gary Pelletier and his wife, Karen, all of Bristol, Conn., Danny Pelletier and his wife, Jennifer, of Bristol, Conn., and Fort Kent, Dana Pelletier of Japan, Edgar Pelletier Jr. and his wife, Laurie, of Wallagrass and Barry Pelletier of Fort Kent; one daughter, Sandra and her husband, Gary Blier, of Blane, Wash.; nine grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, many nieces, nephews and cousins; three brothers, Richard Pelletier, Clifford Pelletier and Wilfred Jr. “Bea” Pelletier, all of Fort Kent; four sisters, Germaine Soucy, Mildred Dubois, Juliette Pelletier and Gloria Caron, all of Fort Kent. In addition to both his parents, Edgar was predeceased by one infant daughter, Mary; one son, Alden Pelletier, in 1994; a granddaughter, Kristy, in 2007; two brothers, Albert “Babe,” and Ludger Pelletier. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday until time of service at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be held after at the parish cemetery.
