OAKFIELD – Clair Wilmot, 76, died March 27, 2004, at Bangor. He was born on June 3, 1927, in New Limerick, the son of Charles and Florence (McIntire) Wilmot. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army Air Born, serving during the Korea War. Clair was retired from Bangor and Aroostook Railroad after 45 years. He was a member of Oakfield Grange, State Grange, a member of the Oakfield School Board, SACHS School Board, Oakfield Town Constable, Justice of the Peace and a member of the American Legion. He is survived by five children, Richard and his wife, Susan Wilmot, of Houlton, Carol and her husband, Ken Swallow, of Oakfield, Brian and his wife, Connie Wilmot, of Tuscan, Ariz., Steven Wilmot of New Sweden, Mark and his wife, Lynn Wilmot, of Zwolle, La.; 10 grandchildren, John and his wife, Mandy Wilmot, Jim Wilmot, Kendra and her husband, Herb, of LeBreton, Kristen and her husband, Mitchell Baily Jr., Jeffery Swallow, Nathan Swallow, Jennifer Baker, Tolsen Wilmot, Jeremy Wilmot, and Sarah Wilmot; four great-grandchildren, Jenasia Baker, Alexis LeBreton, Logan Swallow, and Katelyn Wilmot; two sisters, Evelyn Gradie of Ellenton, Fla., and Thelma Cline of Texas; several nieces and nephews, especially Jayne and her husband, Jack Branscombe. He was predeceased by two sisters, Phyllis Crandall and Edythe Carrier; and two brothers, George and Edgar. Services will be held 4 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2004, at the Oakfield Cemetery with the Rev.
