OLD TOWN – Clarence P. “Blondie” Bouchard, 84, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. He was born April 16, 1921, in Old Town, the son of Frank X. and Alice (Landry) Bouchard. Blondie attended Old Town schools. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy having battled in World War II. Blondie was self-employed for many years operating Blondie’s Rolling Diner and PCF Cafeteria. He also worked as a shoe cutter for Penobscot Shoe Company. Blondie was a past member of St. Mary’s Parish, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Elks and The Catholic Order of Foresters. Fortunately he and Priscilla were able to enjoy 46 summers at their Pushaw Lake cottage together where they enjoyed fishing, boating, the company of their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and neighbors. He is survived and will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Priscilla (Ouellette) Bouchard; two daughters, Joyce Magnan and her husband, Gil and Doreen McLaughlin; son, Ron Bouchard; seven grandchildren, Deborah Street, Scott Magnan, Barbara Morley, Alan McLaughlin, Kelly Harris, Heidi McLaughlin, Nick Bouchard; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Bouchard. A graveside service will be held in the spring at St. Joseph Cemetery in Old Town and will be announced at a later date.
