ELLSWORTH – Earl Norman Cook, 73, died Feb. 22, 2006, at his residence. He was born Nov. 16, 1932, in South Braintree, Mass., the son of Harry A. and Nellie (Burke) Cook. Earl worked at Holt’s Garage in the early 1960’s after returning to Maine from Florida. He worked in the Blue Hill Copper mines and later drove the bus for Downeast Transportation. Earl enjoyed spending time at the family camp on Toddy Pond. He is survived by his mother, Nellie Cook of Blue Hill; sons, Bruce and wife, Judith and Brian and wife, Connie, both of Bartow, Fla.; a daughter, Renee and husband, Quentin Hagan, of Ponce de Leon, Fla.; a sister, Gloria Astbury and husband, Clyde, of Blue Hill; a brother, George H. Cook of Brockton, Mass.; seven grandchildren. Calling hours will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Contributions in Earl’s memory may be made to the Blue Hill Hospital, P.O.
