DEDHAM and BAR HARBOR – Claude A. Boisvert, 42, was mortally injured the evening of April 30, 2006, and passed into the arms of God, surrounded by family and friends, the evening of May 1, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 3, 1963, in Bar Harbor, the son of Leo A. and Pierrette (Boulanger) Boisvert. As a natural athlete, Claude enjoyed all sports and recreations, especially fishing, snowmobiling, hockey and motorcycling with his friends. He was also noted for his penchant of dancing backwards, which he perfected in Key West, Fla. Claude was a commercial fisherman for several years, fishing out of Northeast Harbor. He then worked at the family restaurant, Acadia and then worked at the Mary Jane. Then in 1998, he and Adrienne bought the Moorings Restaurant in Manset. Then they went on to purchase Castaways Pub in Southwest Harbor and most recently, bought Castaways Pub in Bar Harbor. He is survived by his parents of Bar Harbor; his life long partner, Adrienne M. Hood of Dedham; his daughter, Alisha M. Boisvert and her fiance, Seth W. Johnston, of Veazie; two brothers, Paul Boisvert and wife, Linda, of Bar Harbor and Peter Boisvert and wife, Susan, of Boothbay; one sister, Denise Daugherty and husband, Richard, of Bass Harbor; brother-in-law, William Thurston of Bar Harbor; Adrienne’s family, grandmother, Jeanette Falcone of New Jersey; her mother, Francine Falcone of Augusta; her brothers, David Hood of Massachusetts and Scott Hood and wife, Melissa; and her sister, Tara Abele and husband, Pete, all of Vermont; special godbrother, Thomas Alley; and godsister, Sherri Alley, both of Bar Harbor and their children, Cpl Robert Alley, USMC, Cecilia, Charlotte and her fiance, Blay Carr and Adrianne’s and Claude’s goddaughter, Jennifer Carr; many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his fraternal grandparents, Paul and Blanche Boisvert; his maternal grandparents; his sister, Dorothy Thurston; and Adrienne’s grandfather, Frank Falcone. Claude and Adrienne just bought a new home in Lucerne-in-Maine, located on Phillips Lake, which he loved so much and he will be missed by his dogs, Chase and Anook. He will also be missed by his many friends and they would be pleased to know that he donated his organs so that others could live. Claude was taken from us doing what he loved so much, motorcycling with his friends. Friends are invited to call 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Jordan-Fernald, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 5, at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Bar Harbor, with Fr. John O’Hara officiating. Interment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
