CLAYTON W. HOLDEN ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Clayton W. Holden of Rochester, N.Y., died Oct. 27, 2003, after a long illness. He was born Oct. 11, 1922, in Mooseriver, the son of Sylvia and Andrew Holden. Clayton was a 1940 graduate of Jackman Highschool and received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Maine in 1944. He was employed by Stromberg Carlson Corp. in Rochester, N.Y. until his retirement. Clayton is survived by his sister, Marilyn Sylvia MacDonald of Kennebunk; nieces and nephews, Barry C. Brado of New Hampshire, James and Anne Holden and Amy Calman of Massachusetts, Sara Lynne Rizzo of Florida. He will also be sadly missed by Irving and Peg French of Shortsville, N.Y. Clayton was predeceased by a brother, Lynne Andrew Holden. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Sainsbury Funeral Home, 78 West Main St., Shortsville, N.Y.
