CORINNA and ST. ALBANS – Clifford E. Higgins Jr., 52, passed away unexpectedly June 5, 2005 at his residence. He was born Aug. 22, 1952, the son of Clifford E. and Mattie (Richards) Higgins Sr. He was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna and for the last 19 years for Lyle Peirce, Inc. in Newport. He was involved with the Corinna Ambulance and was a former member of the Corinna Fire Department. Cliff enjoyed wood-working, remodeling his newly purchased house and four-wheeling with the love of his life, his fiance, Carole Norton. Cliff will be greatly missed by his daughter, Melissa Higgins and her children, Samantha Farnham, Jordan Viles and Austin Jackson; his sons, Chris Higgins and his fiance, Jodie Walker and their daughter, to be born in October, Barry Deering and his fianc?e, Tabbie Robichaud, and their children, Matt, Kaylee and their child to be born in November; his fiance, Carole Norton and her children, Eric and Aaron Kennedy and Denise Engelhardt. He is also survived by his mother, Mattie and sisters, Jean, Wendy, Barbara, Sherrie and their children. He will be missed by Frank and Florence Brawn and all of his CB radio buddies who knew him by his handle “Sideburns”. Cliff was predeceased by his favorite gram, Grace Dickey, his father, Cliff Sr. and his sister, Carole Littlefield and her children, Charles, David, Donald and Winonia “Muffy” Higgins, who died together in a house fire. At his request there will be no funeral services. Graveside services will be held at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna, at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send donations to Chris Higgins, P.O. Box 137, Corinna, ME 04928 to help with funeral expenses. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Newport.
