BANGOR – Clifford O. Royal, 80, (K1AHD), died March 6, 2006, at a Brewer rehabilitation center. He was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Hersey, the son of Sewell and Edna (White) Royal. Clifford was a World War II and Korean War veteran. He was a member of the Brewer VFW Post 4917 and the American Legion Post 12 of Bangor. Clifford worked for many radio stations as an engineer and enjoyed being active as a ham radio operator. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (West) Royal of Bangor; two sons, Donald of Texas, William and his wife, Anna Marie, of Sullivan; two daughters, Edna Royal of Mariaville and Tammy Royal of Ellsworth; and one brother, Earl and his wife, Betty, of Newport. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Crystal Cemetery, Crystal. Friends may make donations to the VFW Post 4917, 235 Center St., Brewer, ME 04412 in Clifford’s memory.
