MADAWASKA – Marielle (Muriel) Dyke passed away March 5, 2006, at The Aroostook Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Charlo, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Antonio and Antonia (Murray) Beaulieu. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ivanhoe Beaulieu. She is survived by her husband, Thomas of Madawaska; daughter, Susan Guidry and her husband, Roy, of Presque Isle; her brother, Romeo Beaulieu and wife, Dora, of Brossard, Quebec; her sister, Rita Pelchat and husband, Ronald, of St. Hubert, Quebec; and many loving nieces and nephews. Muriel worked for many years as an x-ray technician at the Hotel-Dieu d’Edmundston and in the x-ray department of the Edmundston Regional Hospital and maintained lifetime friendships with many of her co-workers. She was a very creative person and an accomplished photographer. Muriel was an avid golfer and she also had a passion for the outdoors. She will be dearly missed by her many friends and family. Most of all she is loved and will be missed by her immediate family, husband, Tom; daughter, Susan; and son-in-law, Roy. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Wednesday, until time of service, at the Daigle Funeral Home, Madawaska. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Attention Contribution Services, 10 Brookline Place, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
