ALBION – Erma Small Littlefield, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday, March 5, 2006, at Maine General Hospital in Waterville. Erma was born Aug. 28, 1917, in Swanville, to the late Adelbert E. Small and Catherine (Seekins) Small. She grew up at the “Head of the Tide” in Belfast. Erma graduated from Crosby High School in 1934. She married Harold C. Littlefield of Albion Oct. 24, 1939. They shared 66 years of marriage together in Albion. Erma was predeceased by three half brothers, Rosco, Howard and Roy Small. She was also predeceased by one brother, Lindley Small; and five sisters, Geneva Maddocks, Mildred McGray, Eunice Freeman, Augusta Colson and Alberta Carter. Erma is survived by her husband, Harold Littlefield of Albion; her daughter, Jean Shorey and her husband, Bill, of Searsport; her son, Dwight Littlefield and his wife, Cheryl, of Bingham; granddaughter, Wendy (Shorey) Flannery and her husband, Brad, of Hampden; grandson, Craig Shorey and his wife, Kristen, of Hermon; granddaughter, Christie (Littlefield) Hunt and her husband, Dave, of Monmouth; and grandson, Dustin Littlefield and his wife, Kristin, of Yarmouth. Erma was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield.
