HOWLAND – Clifton Leroy Tash Sr., 80, died Feb. 25, 2008, at his home. He was born July 26, 1927, in Chester, the son of William Frank and Una (Lancaster) Tash. Clifton was a veteran of World War II and was a member of VFW Post No. 9429 of West Enfield. He enjoyed horse-pulling and woodworking. He is survived by his companion of 17 years and fianc?e, Marie Dobson of Howland; three children, Deborah Neal and her husband, Jeffrey, of Enfield, Clifton Tash Jr. and his wife, Holly, of West Enfield and Patricia Bruce and her husband, Clyde, of Burlington; three stepchildren, Shirley Ireland and Wanda Martin, both of Howland and Patty Faloon and her husband, Brent, of Passadumkeag; two brothers, Gilman “Abe” Tash and William F. Tash Jr., both of Howland; a sister, Betty Nason of Howland; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Travis, Jonathan, Adam, Jennie, Matthew and Michael; three step-grandchildren, Kacey, Heather and Heath; 13 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Drew, Alyssa, Patrick, Camryn, Alex, Emily, Jordan, Hailey, Jonathan, Timothy, Dakota and Cheyenne; a son-in-law, Mike Stanley of West Enfield; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a special friend, Blaine Tolman. He was predeceased by his wife, Donna (Leveille) Tash; and a daughter, Bonnie Stanley. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where Emma Jean Cook will say a few words and a prayer.
