EAST MILLINOCKET – Clovis O. Dickinson Sr., 77, went to sleep peacefully with our Lord Friday, June 6, 2008, at a Millinocket hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1930, in Perham, the son of Perley and Edith (Roy) Dickinson. Clovis was a papermaker for Great Northern Paper Co., East Millinocket, for 40 years, retiring in 1994. He loved hunting, fishing and snowmobiling with his family, as well as traveling. Clovis was a talented bowler, who earned many trophies for his accomplishments. He was a member of East Branch Sno-Rovers, East Millinocket. Clovis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mavis L. (Landeen) Dickinson of East Millinocket; seven children, Sheldon Dickinson of Bangor, Clovis O. Dickinson Jr. of Las Vegas, Roxane Dickinson of Bangor, Kurt Dickinson and his wife, Patricia, of East Millinocket, Christopher Dickinson and his wife, Joann, of Millinocket, Cecelia Boutaugh and her husband, Jeffrey, of Warren and Diane Tedford and her husband, Joe, of Medway; 13 grandchildren, Brandy, Shannon, John, Kristy, Kurt, Joshua, T.J., Matt, John, Joe, Jason, Michael and Liz; nine great- grandchildren, Taylor, Nick, Mike, Bethany, Priscilla, Perrin, Gabrielle, Jacob and Kayleigh; surviving siblings, Maida Waldron of New Milford, Conn., and Mayford Dickinson of Georgia; a brother-in-law, Alan Landeen and his wife, Paulette; a sister-in-law, Lorena Michaud and her husband, Reynold, all of Caribou; special friends, Billy Hoxie, Barb and Wayne Conroy, Paul and Barb Bondeson and Van Anderson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Clovis was predeceased by two sons, Brett P.M. Dickinson and Barry Alan Dickinson; a grandson, Matthew Dickinson; and two brothers, Willis and Merle Dickinson. Friends are invited to visit with the family 4-8 p.m. Monday at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, with the Rev.
