TINNASLE, N.C. and CARROLL – Corinne Glidden Sutherland, 53, wife of Roland Sutherland died unexpectedly Nov. 17, 2005, at work. She was born July 30, 1951, in Gardiner, the daughter of Leo and Olive Bernice (Mclaughlin) Glidden. Corinne grew up in Prentiss and was a nurse all her life. She enjoyed reading books and collecting dolls. She raised her family in Carroll most of her life until a couple of years ago when she moved to North Carolina. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. Corinne leaves behind her husband, Roland Sutherland of North Carolina; her mother, Bernice Morton of Old Town; and three children, Rena Sutherland of Fayetteville, Ark., Bessie Sutherland of North Carolina and “Bobo” Carlton Sutherland of Rockland; seven grandchildren, Darrell Jr. and Cameron Green, Mikayla, Breanna and Mya Sutherland, Brandon Spencer and Cody Glidden. In addition to her children and grandchildren Corinne leaves behind six siblings, Brenda White and her husband, Omaha, Debra Walton and her husband, Albert, Warren Glidden and his wife, Celia, Harvey Glidden, and Leo Glidden, all of Prentiss, Bonita Rideout and her husband, Jerry, of Whitefield. She is predeceased by her father, Leo Glidden Sr.; a sister, Elnora Glidden White; and two brothers, George Runk Glidden and John W. Glidden.
