LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. Cristal Foster died unexpectedly April 18, 2007, in Bellflower, Calif. Her death was due to complications from a fall. She was born Dec. 31, 1920, in St. Albans, the daughter of Letha Cole Foster and John Foster. Shortly after graduating from high school in Garland, she moved to California and lived there the rest of her life. Once in California, she found a job with Douglas Aircraft, working there until her retirement in 1985. She was a legal statistician. She retained her love for the state of Maine, and after her retirement, returned to the state every fall to spend time on Sebec Lake. She will be missed by her nieces and nephews who loved and greatly admired her. She is survived by her longtime companion, Charles Sullivan of Downey, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom live in Maine. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. May 26, at United Methodist Church, Dover-Foxcroft.
