MACHIAS – Erwin P. Reynolds, 60, passed away peacefully Aug. 23, 2004, at an Ellsworth hos-pital with family and friends by his side. Erwin was born March 27, 1944, in Machias, the son of Alphonso J. and Charlotte J. (Anthony) Reynolds. He graduated from Machias Memorial High School, Class of 1963. He went on to fulfill a life-long dream of being a mechanic by graduating from NMVTI in Presque Isle. In 1965, he enlisted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany until his discharge in 1968. After returning to Machias, he worked as a mechanic for several area garages, and later he started and operated his own in Machias. He enjoyed his time with his children, grandchildren, friends, family and special canine buddy, Keishka. He is survived by four daughters, Michelle Reynolds of Machias, Nichole and husband, Roy Alberts, of Brewer, Tanya and husband, Frank Coffin, of Machiasport and Monique and husband, Harold Prescott, of East Machias. He is also survived by nine special grandchildren, Ashley, Eric, Miranda, Brianne, Mathieu, Eryn, Clayton, Ryan and Carson. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Clifton Reynolds. We would like to acknowledge special friends, Clyde, Nathan, Ray, Walter, Jim, George, Mark, David and John. Special thanks goes out to all the wonderful people who cared for our father during his stay at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. Your kindness and understanding will be in our hearts forever. There will be a remembrance of his life 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, at the East Machias Town Hall. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Lubec.
