BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Curtis Bashaw Jr., 9, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Brooksville Regional Hospital, Brooksville, Fla. He was born Feb. 4, 1998, at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, Fla. He was an honor roll student in the third grade at Brooksville Elementary School. Curtis loved animals and volunteered at Reins of Hope. He enjoyed visiting the humane society. He also loved to play checkers, cards, video games, baseball and soccer. He attended Sunday school at Gulf Ridge Park Baptist Church, Brooksville, Fla. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jennifer (O’Brien) and Michael Brittin; his father and stepmother, Curtis and Jessica Bashaw; half sister, Akira Bashaw of Spring Hill, Fla.; his nanny and papa, Sharon and David Robitille of Lowell, Vt., Papa Harvey O’Brien of Millinocket and Papa Scott Bashaw of Holly Hills, Fla.; stepgrandparents, Pat and Mike Brittin of Brooks-ville; a special uncle, Joshua Robitille of Stowe, Vt.; great-grandparents, Maxine and Anthony Giuliano of Brooksville, Eugene O’Brien of Millinocket, Elizabeth Weinacht of Beaver, Pa., Herbert Bashaw of Lake Placid, N.Y., Phyllis Bashaw of Holly Hills, Fla., Grace Wylupek of Brooksville and Dot Brittin of New Jersey; many great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins and dear friends.
