WEST GARDINER – Dale L. (Boynton) Brann, 65, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 6, 2007, at home. She was born Aug. 14, 1941, in Gardiner, the daughter of Albert and Hazel (Carleton) Boynton. She worked for many years at the Dover-Foxcroft Town Office as town clerk. Dale was a kind and gentle spirit, who loved life and lived each day to the fullest. The most important aspect of her life was spending time with her family. She loved traveling with her husband and recently returned from a trip to the southern United States. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Hazel (Carleton) Boynton of Rand-olph, and later Windsor. She is survived by her husband, Louis J. Brann of West Gardiner; two children, Cathy McKay and her husband, Maurice, of Gardiner and Dean Drisko of West Gardiner; four siblings, David Boynton of Windsor, Daniel Boynton of Windsor, Duane Boynton of Windsor and Donna Tracy of Farmingdale; five grandchildren, Kevin and Ryan McKay of Gardiner, Derek, Bradley and Adam Drisko of West Gardiner; five stepchildren, Wesley Brann of Farmingdale, Andrew Brann of Mobile, Ala., Michael Brann of West Gardiner, Joyce Wood of Farmingdale and Daniel Brann of Wells; mother-in-law, Arlene Brann-Brown of West Gardiner; eight step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, she is also survived by a special friend, Roberta Brady of Gardiner. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, for family only and 6-8 p.m. for relatives and friends at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. A committal service will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Cherry Hill Cemetery, West Gardiner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the local chapter of the American Lung Association, 122 State St., Augusta, ME 04330.
