CAMBRIDGE – D. Michael McKenney, 61, died Dec. 21, 2006, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. Mike went home for Christmas after a long battle with Lewy Body disease. He was born July 3, 1945, in Parkman, son of Charles and Evelyn (Hinton) McKenney. He owned and operated a woods operation in the local area for many years. He attended the Abbot Evangelical Free Church and in later years, was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. Michael was an avid sports fan. He played semi-pro baseball and coached the high school basketball team in Greenville, fulfilling a lifelong dream of taking a team to the state tournaments. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and a great practical joke. He is survived by his wife, Christine (Rollins) McKenney of Cambridge; a son, Michael A. McKenney and his wife, Wanda and their daughter, Taylor of Arizona; a daughter, Amy Noble and her husband, Stephen and their sons, Michael P. and Jacob T. of Rochester, N.H.; six brothers and their wives, Charles and Annie McKenney of Parkman, Billy and Lena McKenney of Milbridge, Dale and Vickie Mc-Kenney of Parkman, Peter and Sharon McKenney of Harmony, Tony and Lana McKenney of Parkman and Larry and Shari McKenney of Parkman; five sisters and their husbands, Sally and Ronnie Hughes of St. Albans, Joeline and Bill Inman of Cambridge, Arolin and John Coggswell of Thorndike, Donna and Nelson Sheppherd of Cumberland, R.I., and Patti and Skip Fletcher of Fort Kent. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas McKenney; and a sister, Theo Jacobson. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Abbot Evangelical Free Church with the Rev.
