OLD TOWN and ORONO – Dale C. Nason, 56, died Sept. 13, 2004, at his residence in Orono. He was born Oct. 5, 1948, in Dexter, the son of Cecil I. and Arlene E. Nason. In loving memory of my dad, by his son, Scott Nason. My dad loved us all and only wanted to be loved. We will miss you and will always love you dad. I promise to make you proud that you were my dad and hope we have a lot to talk about again some day as so do all of your family. My dad is a kind-hearted man, who used to sing me a song at bed-time when I was little and he taught me to be a carpenter. He loved his brothers, Ronald, and Blaine, and he is now with his dad and his two brothers, Lyle, and Dennis, that he had missed for so long. It seems unfair that we will all miss him for the time we all have here, but at least we will all be together again. He talked a lot about his many friends, Ralph Rideout, Lester Martin, Nino Sullivan, and John Harding and many others, because he loved the good times you guys had together. His wishes and hopes for his sisters, Thelma, and Connie, were always true and he loved them but most of all he cared that everyone was ok especially his mom, whom we all have a chance to love today because she is the creator of this family. In addition to his mother, Arlene E. Nason; his son, brothers and sisters, he is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, Old Town Chapel, 205 Main St., Old Town, with the Rev. Bruce Stevens, pastor of the United Baptist Church of Old Town, officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments following the services at Dale’s home, 157 Kelly Road, Orono. Memorial contributions may be sent to his son Scott Nason, 55 French’s Point, Glenburn, ME 04401 to help pay for arrangements.
