PALERMO – Dale F. Flint, 65, died March 5 in Tulsa, Okla. She was born Oct. 26, 1940, in North Newport, the daughter of Burnes and Maude (Pomroy) Adams. In 1961, she began her employment at Massachusetts General Hospital. She then moved to Maine and worked as head nurse in the intensive care unit at the Mid-Maine Medical Center which is now called MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville. After retiring, she was actively involved working in the Palermo Christian Church and volunteered with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Central Maine. She was also volunteer director of the health care program at Living Waters Bible Camp in Danforth. During her retirement years she took two missionary trips to Moscow, Russia and to Trelew, Argentina. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Ralph Metievier. Dale is survived by her husband of 43 years, Herb Flint of Palermo; daughter, Deb Flint of Bakersfield, Calif.; and son, Mark Flint of Decatur, Ill.; brothers and sisters, Zelda Pierce, Dennis Metievier, Gilbert Adams, Geraldine Richardson; and a sister-in-law, Jewell Stewart; as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call 3-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at Palermo Christian Church with Pastor Ed Hatch officiating.
