HOULTON – Dale W. McAfee, 65, died Dec. 5, 2006, in Houlton. He was born Aug. 23, 1941, in Houlton, the son of John and Virginia (Ritchie) McAfee. Dale graduated from Houlton High School in 1960, worked at Houlton International, Eastern Maine Electric and retired from the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad. He was a charter member of North Country Cruisers, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Court Street Baptist Church. Besides his father of Houlton, he his survived by his wife, Connie (Merritt) McAfee of Houlton; three children, Michael and his wife, Joan McAfee, Mark McAfee and Lisa Duff, and Ammie Toby, all of Houlton; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; half brothers and sisters, James, Charles, Ralph, Cheryle Lister, Connie McAfee, Cindy Hawkins, Linda Brown, Sheila Torrey and Gloria Grant. He was predeceased by his mother; and one daughter, Beth Ann. Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. A time of fellowship will be held after the service at the Region Two Save Building, 5 Bird Street, Houlton. Graveside services will be announced in the springtime.
