He was a longtime member of the Church of Nazarene and served for many years on the board. He was a serious high school and college basketball fan and was especially fond of the University of Alaska Anchorage women’s basketball team. He was a charter ticket holder of the Great Alaska Shootout and attended games every season. He and Millie loved to travel and drove the Alcan countless times, the first time being in January 1950. Denny was generous with his time and his love. He always had a project – an endless list of things he wanted to complete.
