ST. ALBANS – Daniel E. Smith, 38, died unexpectedly April 5, 2005. He was born April 13, 1966, at Bangor, a son of Clayton and Dorothy (Clukey) Smith. Danny was self-employed as a roofer, retiring due to a back injury. He was a devoted father and will be remembered as a kind person loved by many. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his father of Florida; his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Glendon Peters of St. Albans; two daughters, Megan and Emily Smith of Hartland; a brother, Jeffrey Smith of Bangor; four sisters, Bonney Kolina of Washington, Victoria Hunt of St. Albans, Tammy Waltman and Susan Walton, both of Corinna; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be no visiting hours. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Newport, with Pastor Buddy Gough officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
