STOCKTON SPRINGS – David Anderson, 93, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at his home. He was a member of the Gate of the Temple Masonic Lodge, South Boston, Mass., Neponset Valley Royal Arch Chapter, Walpole, Mass., United Commandery No. 21, Norwood, Mass., Aleppo Shriners, Wilmington, Mass., Bethesda Lodge No. 30 Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Braintree, Mass. and I.T.O Labor Union, Belfast. He worked for Hoods milk in Boston, Mass. for six years, then opened “Daves Auto” in South Boston, Mass. in 1942. He retired to Stockton Springs in 1968, where he operated “Daves Auto Repair” while he also worked as a longshoreman. Mr. Anderson was predeceased by his wife, Viola Anderson. He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Grosbeck and her husband, Fred Grosbeck, of Dedham, Mass.; his granddaughter, Karen Bisnaw; his sister, Emma Thayer of the home in Stockton Springs; his sister, Adeline Skeen and her husband, Robbie Skeen, of Montgomery, Ala., as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Sandy Point Congregational Church, Sandy Point, with the Rev. Ruth Martin, officiating. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service. All are welcome to attend. Internment will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham, Mass. at a later date.
