ORONO – David L. Nason, 32, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 13, 2005. He was the beloved son of Joyce M. Nason and the late Thomas J. Nason. David was born Dec. 18, 1972, in Old Town and attended Orono schools. An enthusiastic Oakland Raiders fan, David enjoyed tinkering with mechanics and masonry. He also enjoyed spending time on the coast and the outdoors. David was known for his zany sense of humor and intense love for his family. David is survived by his three children, Cynthia Nason, Drew Hamel and Celia Hamel. He will be greatly missed by his siblings, Judy Kannegaard and her husband, John, of Idaho, Carl Spencer and his wife, Beth, of Bangor and Colleen Spencer and her fiance, Rodney, of Milford. He will also be missed by his grandmother, Marie Sullivan of Orono; and uncles, Nino, Alfred, Donny and Patrick. David enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, D.J., Chris, Alicia, Judy, Felicia, Kristine, Rachael and Trevor. At David’s request, there will be no services. The family will be holding a private memorial. Gifts in David’s memory to assist the family with his final arrangements can be sent to his mother, Joyce Nason.
