BANGOR – David L. Swanson Sr., 47, died unexpectedly Aug. 4, 2008, at his residence. He was born June 10, 1961, in Abilene, Texas, the son of Carl and Joy (Anair) Swanson. David loved life and shared his happiness with everyone he touched and will be missed by his family and many friends. He was a member of the Brewer Eagles Club, Bangor Elks Club No. 244, a third degree member of the Masons, Anah Temple Shrine and an active supporter of the Keystone Kops Charity. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Joy Levasseur and her husband, Richard, of Carmel; his father, Carl Swanson and his wife, Helen, of Connecticut; one son, David Swanson Jr. of Connecticut; two brothers, Danny and Darin Swanson, both of Connecticut; one sister, Michelle St. Louis of Carmel; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend, Stephanie Kaehler of Bangor. A memorial wake will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor. Interment will be in the family lot in Wales, Mass. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in David’s memory to the Dialysis Center, Eastern Maine Medical Center, 489 State St., Bangor, ME 04401.
