WINTERPORT – Delores M. Bowden, 75, died unexpectedly Aug. 4, 2008, in Elk Grove, Ill. She was born March 25, 1933, in Pioneer, Ohio, the daughter of Allen Jenkins and Nora (McBride) Jenkins. Delores moved to Illinois and married James W. Bowden Jr., where they made their home and raised two children. James passed away April 16, 1998. Delores loved reading, knitting and was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan. Surviving are a son, Scott A. Bowden and his wife, Laura, of Lake In the Hills, Ill.; a daughter, Diane L. Estes and her husband, Bruce, of Winterport; one brother, Lewis Jenkins of Adrian, Mich.; her eight grandchildren, Scott, Eric, Kurt, Leah, Stephanie, Travis, Sara and Steven; and one great-granddaughter, Carter. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. At Delores’ request there will be no service.
