NEWPORT – David Milton Cash, 58, died Oct. 15, 2006, at his residence after a long illness. He was born June 10, 1948, in Portland, a son of John and Ethel (Jones) Cash. David graduated from Portland High School in 1967 and married the former Susan Bickford June 3, 1972. He had been employed by the Dexter Shoe Co. for 33 years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Newport. David enjoyed agricultural fairs and had collected lighthouses and classic cars from the 50s and 60s. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John and wife, Angela, of Newport and Kevin of Augusta; as well as three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Calvary Baptist Church, 39 Grove St., Newport, with the Rev. Harold Wheeler officiating. Friends may call at the church 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Newport.
