GREENBUSH – David T Shina, 62, died peacefully April 1, 2005, at the residence of his daughter. He was born Aug. 20, 1942, in Old Town, a son of Theodore and Agnes (St. Louis) Shina. David was an outdoorsman. He worked in the woods his entire life and when he wasn’t working he was hunting, fishing, trapping, or just at camp. If you knew David, you loved David. He was a friend for life. He is survived by three children, Lisa Dion and her husband, Frank, of Stockton Springs, Daniel Shina of Greenbush, and Gena Deprofio and her husband, Dan, of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren, Sarah King, David Shina, Tony Shina, Danny King, and Shari Shina; a great-grandchild, Alexis Loring; a sister, Martha Grant and her husband, Ray, of Old Town; and a brother, Clement Shina Sr. of Old Town; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by parents and a sister-in-law, Constance Shina. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Sunday, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Monday, at Holy Family Parish with the Rev. Normand Richard, celebrant. Immediately following the service all are invited to the Parish Center for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.
