BEECH HILL POND – Dennis Reynolds Sr., 62, died April 1, 2005, at an Orono healthcare facility. He was born July 14, 1942, to Greta (Drinkwater) Reynolds and Victor Reynolds. Denny had shown tremendous strength and had been an inspiration to his family and friends the past four years while fighting his illness and trying to overcome unbeatable odds. During his illness, Denny saw the kindness and cruelty of mankind. He chose to hold his head high and ignore the cruelty and accept the kindness. Before his illness, Denny was a proprietor of Paul Bunyan Exxon on Main Street in Bangor, until it closed due to a fire. He was also a sales manager at Varney’s Auto Supply. His most cherished memories were at his camp on Beech Hill Pond. He found total enjoyment with his “Beech Hill Family”. In addition to his mother Greta, Denny is survived by his wife and best friend, Margaret; his son and family, Denny, Jill, and Courtney; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Donna, Terry and Pat, Jim and Gaynor, Steve and Florence, and their families; in-laws, Tom and Nancy Tennett, Dan Tennett and their families; and a very special friend, Gail Sinclair, as well as a large extended family. Denny was predeceased by his father, Victor; and his sister, Roberta. Anyone who would like to remember Denny in a special way is asked to remember him while performing and act of kindness for someone in need. It is impossible to personally thank all of the people that helped with Denny’s care. You know who you are and thank-you. At Denny’s request a private time of remembrance will be held for the immediate family. Happy Trails Honey.
