DOVER-FOXCROFT- Andy Roderick, 78, died of cancer March 31, 2005, at her home with her children at her side. She was born April 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Harriman and Elva (Hall) Anderson. Andy enjoyed cooking, her flowers, yard work, and her home. In her younger days she also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Although she held many jobs outside the home, Andy was best known for her cooking (especially her biscuits) and for sharing the food with friends and neighbors. Andy was a caretaker, providing comfort and care to many of her family members and friends throughout the years. She is survived by her son, Peter Roderick, and his wife, Carol, of Eddington; daughter, Renee Lighter and her husband, Dan, of Woodland, Texas; sister, Lois Young of Greenville; five grandchildren Chip Bonsey, Misty Reddicks, Rebecca, Ryan, and Matthew Roderick; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved companion, Spice. At her request, there will be no funeral. Friends and family are welcome to join together to celebrate her life from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at her home at 113 North St., in Dover-Foxcroft. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
