FORT FAIRFIELD – Mrs. Delina “Deanie” A. Foster, 69, died Sunday afternoon, May 2, 2004, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility, following a long illness. She was born Jan. 4, 1935, at Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Henry Jr. and Berniece (Manter) Milliard. Deanie was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1952, and was married to Neal R. Foster on Sept. 2, 1952. She was a member of the Fort Fairfield Alumni Association and attended the Wesleyan Church, Presque Isle. Deanie enjoyed and had a special talent for quilting and counted cross-stitching. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Neal Foster, on Feb. 11, 1991; four brothers, Leoned, Trefflee, John and David Milliard; one sister, Phyllis Mahany. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, N. Roger and Tammy Foster of Caswell, David and Kerri Foster of Augusta; four daughters, Carole Hetrick and her husband, Jerry, of Alvarado, Texas, Elizabeth “Bette” McVicar and her husband, William, of Calais, Sally McNamee and her fianc_, Chris Chase, of Stockton Springs, “Deanie’s Baby,” Paula Foster and her fianc_, Dominic Whitamore, of Dover, N.H.; four sisters, Irene Laborie of Shelton, Conn., Jeanette Mahany of Castille, N.Y., Yvonne Milliard of Fort Fairfield, Lois Ann Shaw of Presque Isle; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield and 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the Wesleyan Church, Easton Road, Presque Isle, where funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those who choose may contribute in memory of Deanie to the Fort Fairfield Alumni Association, P.O.
