DEER ISLE – Delma R. Farrell, 91, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at a Blue Hill hospital. She was born April 12, 1914, in West Falmouth, the daughter of Eugene W. and Eva M. (Havener) Ross. Delma was a member of Deer Isle Grange No. 296, where she had served as district deputy. She was also a member of the Evergreen Garden Club in Deer Isle, of which she was a past president. Delma enjoyed photography and helped her husband, John, in his photography store in Deer Isle. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Farrell of Deer Isle; a sister, Jean Kroot of Augusta; two nephews, Steve Ross of Scarborough, and John Kroot of Richmond; and one cousin, Bill DeMille of South Portland. Delma was predeceased by her brother, Neal Ross. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the First Congregational Church of Deer Isle, Church Street, Deer Isle, with the Rev. Alice Hildebrand officiating. Interment will be at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Deer Isle. Arrangements are by Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Stonington.
