EAST MILLINOCKET – Dennis E. Cummings, 78, husband of Ramona (Mushero) Cum-mings, went to be with his Lord, May 6, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 3, 1930, in Middletown, Conn., the son of Dennis G. Cummings Jr. and Mary Catherine (Young) Cummings. Dennis was a U.S. Navy veteran,and was active in Calvary Temple Assembly of God, East Millinocket. He was a servant of God who always had a smile on his face. He retired from Great Northern Paper Co. In addition to his wife, Ramona, he is survived by four children, David Cummings and his wife, Lois, of Virgilina, Va., Vicki Benton and her husband, Dan, of Waterbury, Conn., Richard Powers and his wife, Karen, of Lincoln, and Bonnie Buller and her husband, Darryl, of Severn, Md.; a brother, Dean Cummings and his wife, Fern, of Lowell; a sister, Eleanor Lowe and her husband, Everett, of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, East Millinocket. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Regginal Adams officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the building fund at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 2 Orchard St., East Millinocket, ME 04462. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
