BURNHAM – Dewayne R. Champluvier, 79, a resident of Troy Road and formerly of Corinth, died Sunday, March 2, 2008. He was born July 29, 1928, in Skinners Eddy, Pa., the son of Jack and Carrie Champluvier. Dewayne served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a machine operator for many years at Edwards, Pittsfield. He loved life, his family and his friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing card games and raising all kinds of animals. He loved attending Cornerstone Baptist Church, Exeter. He is survived by his loving children, Robert Champluvier and his wife, Sheryl, of Burnham, Dale Champluvier and his girlfriend, Lorraine, of Dexter, Mark Champluvier and his girlfriend, Betty, of Florida, Sue Eslin and her husband, Steve, of West Virginia, Linda Batey and her husband, Jim, of Garland, Bernie King and his wife, Lori, of Bridgton, Ken King and his wife, Solonge, of Lowell, Mass., and Rudy King and his wife, Patty, of Ashby, Mass.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Stan Griffin officiating.
